How was you experience being a house girl?

Ava Rose - Being a dancer? A stripper?

Yeah

Ava Rose - It was good. I enjoyed it. That is why I am here. But on the weekends I did not really ...I would be like "Okay I have to go out and make money." So I started drinking like WAY too much. I would take shots with all the people and you know by the end of the evening I would end up in the bathroom. So that is why I do not drink any more. But other then that I liked it.

What was your first step to performing on camera?

Ava Rose - What was it? I was doing nude pictures but for some reason that was not like ...anything. I was always so open with doing things like that. My sister was always the first to do things, minus the dancing, and I was like "I will do it if you do it" and after the first time she was like "It was not bad. It felt really comfortable" and then I did it and it felt super comfortable because it was almost like taking pictures. Except you did not have to really look at the camera. I think that was it really. It just felt really comfortable.

Did you have any experience with the adult industry prior to that? Watch any movies things like that?

Ava Rose - Yeah like crazy down Loaded porn clips. My sister knew who all these people were. She would be like "You know who that is? That is Belladonna!" and I would be like "Who". She would be like "You do not know who Belladonna is? That is TT Boy." and I was like "Who are these people".

So Mia was the one who was interested in porn.

Ava Rose - Oh yeah. Without her there would have been a lot of things I was naive to in this business.

What was it about that experience that kept you in this business?

Ava Rose - It was comfortable. I mean I had already had sex with so many people to begin with and it was really not as hard as I thought it would be. It definitely not the money at first because we got gipped on our first scene. I was like "Yes we got $300 for our first boy-girl scene." Which is just crazy.

You came out to LA to do your first full on scene and it was not a good experience.

Ava Rose - It was not a really bad. I mean it was not great. It was not how it could have been but considering how some girls end up it really was not that bad. I mean we really could have been freked over very bad. I mean I was a little naive but I was not that naive. I was like "Hey Mia why are you even considering doing this D.P. kind of thing. You do NOT like that. You do not want to do especially for that. You do not have to do that shit." Because I had told them from the beginning "Ahhh No I am not doing any of that." but she was considering it for a little bit and then she was like "You know what? F! This. I do not need this. So we called up our friend who we had done the first scene with and he was like "Oh No" and he really helped us out from there. So it was not bad but not a bad as it could have been.

The last few sets of sisters that have come into the industry have really played up the sister angle. You and Mia have done pretty much the opposite. You have done only one scene together. Why did you decide to go that route?

Ava Rose - You know ...I do not know if we really ...I think it was more because we are not comfortable with that. And we are so different. We have always really wanted to do our own separate things any ways. But our attitudes are really different about the same things any way. It is so hard for us to pretend like we like the same things and go "oh blah blah blah" together. We could not pull that off so we just didn't.

In all my research I could not help but notice how you are always talked about as the older more responsible sister. Considering the actual age difference (a little over a year) how do you feel about the characterization?

Ava Rose - Ummm, it is true. It is very true. I think it is because she is more opinionated when it does not need to be opinionated about like stuck on one thing. And I just take things for how they are and just do it unless it needs to be changed. She will do a heck meck on little things and you know considering the age difference ...maybe it is just that I am old. I think like an old woman. I do not deal with any confrontation unless I need to.

What is a "Heck Meck" (Your guess is as good as mine on spelling)?

Ava Rose - A Heck Meck...How do I explain...Say there is like a small argument about something ridiculous and she always want to confront it if it is not how she likes it. Like it is a huge deal. I think she is starting to get out of that now. I think she is starting to realize that it is not that healthy.

Where did that phrase come from?

Ava Rose - Oh my mom. She was always like "Why are you girls making such a big heck meck about this? You do not need to fight like that."

Why did you decide to go the contract route?

Ava Rose - I do not know if it's ...I am just so chipper and I like to be around the same people a lot of the time. So the whole contract route just felt more comfortable. I like working with the same directors and most of the time it is the same crew. So you feel more at home and really humble. You are just one of the family.

How did you meet Adam & Eve?

Ava Rose - Actually, I dropped my sister off at the wrong set.

Ava Rose - We had just started working with LA Direct and My sister calls me and says "Ava, this is the wrong set. Come and get me. This is an Adam & Eve set and I am not supposed to be here" and I was like "I can't right now." and she was like "But Todd Todd is here. He can take me back cause he has time." and I go "Todd Todd? Really?" So I call him and ask him if he needs me to bring him anything on the set because I kind of had a crush on him at the time before we started dating and that was...But he was like no but you can come by and say hi. Which was unusual because they have closed sets a lot but I show up and they are like "Hey can we get this girl in make-up and get some catalogue pictures of her?" I did and then the pictures went around the office and I did not even know they were thinking contract a the time but they went "We will cast you for a role in Lady Scarface and see how you do and then we will talk about a contract."

So you have done your first scene for Adam & Eve?

Ava Rose - Oh yeah. I have shot about five. First it was Double Trouble which was me and my sister. Then it was Lady Scarface which was Carmen's movie. For my movies we have done Pulp Friction and we did The Devil Wears Leather which was originally Sophia's movie but she got sick so I ended up taking it and the other one was All About Ava.

Do you know when any of these are coming out?

Ava Rose - I know Lady Scarface will be out in January but that is about it.

What was it about Adam & Eve that made you go with them?

Ava Rose - They are so RAD. My first experience with them was just really fun.

How did your meetings with Carmen and Sophia go?

Ava Rose - Sophia I had met before because my boyfriend at the time had worked with her on getting her contract. Carmen is awesome. I was kind of like nervous at first. Lady Scarface was my first experience working with her but she is just so...it is kind of hard to explain she is just so down to earth and professional at the same time.

Erotica LA was your first experience at at a fan show. How was that?

Ava Rose - I was disappointed that I did not get to sign for Adam & Eve but I really wanted to. I was a few booths down going "Hi Bob!, Hi Misha". I was signing for Pink Visuals and it was pretty cool. I had not done anything for Pink Visuals so I wasn't quite sure what I was doing but hey.

What was the fan response like?

Ava Rose - It was pretty rad. I was actually a little bit more surprising then I expected. I was like "Wow, people have heard of me."

So people knew who you were?

Ava Rose - Yeah there were very few but there were people. Maybe two. But it was kind of cool.

Why did you feel the need to put your sign up?

Ava Rose - My sign?

"Yes we are sisters. No we will NOT kiss."

Ava Rose - Oh! :) My crazy sister. That was so funny. Because people was asking us to kiss and I don't think they quite ...People kept asking us to kiss and I don't like saying no all the time.

Did the sign help or did it just make people ask more often?

Ava Rose - It made people laugh. I had totally forgotten about the sign. :)
