ENCINO, CALIFORNIA (December XX, 2007) … Four seminars focused on adult product retailing will be presented during the 2008 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo (AEE), show organizers announced today. The Expo will take place on Wednesday, January 9, thru Saturday, January 12, 2008 at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The retail seminars are:
“At Warp Speed: The Latest on Digital Delivery” – Wednesday January 9, 11:30 am-1:00 pm. Businesses are rapidly making the transition into the digital universe and allowing their products to be available on multiple platforms such as: cell phones, iPods, laptops, and DVRs. This session explores and evaluates the options that continue to expand for the adult entertainment distribution. Farley Cahen of AVN Online talks with a variety of industry leaders including Richard Cohen of Hotmovies.com, Jeff Dillon of Gamelink, Clint Fayling with Brickhouse Mobile, Mike Spierer of Spice Network, and a representative from All Adult Channel.
“Click Here – Build, Improve or Expand your Website” – Wednesday January 9, 3:30-5:00 pm. Websites are an essential part of any business. Whether it’s an online-only business or a website to enhance your brick-and-mortar location, this session will cover all the bases to turn any trade website into a vital and productive business tool. The panelists include David Brown with HeatSeek.com, Any Tran of Wantedlist.com, Kristin Winters with Yappo, and attorney Larry Walters.
“If You Build It, They Will Come: Marketing and Advertising to Grow Your Business” – Thursday January 10, 3:30-5:00 pm. This discussion will focus on how to market adult product effectively. Retailers will discover some of the studio programs that are available to grow even a modest adult business. Panelists include Bob Christian with Adam & Eve, public relations expert Brian Gross, and Joy King with Wicked Pictures.
“More Than Window Shopping - Reinforcing Brick-and-Mortar” – Friday January 11, 3:30-5:00 pm. While the internet offers convenience, in-store shopping is still the leisure activity of choice for most consumers. This seminar will discuss strategies on making the brick-and-mortar attractive to the customer, focusing on: store layout, displays, customer service, store inventory, and franchise opportunities. Some of the retailers sharing their secrets and experience include Nick Manning of Adam & Eve, Mark Jasperson of West Coast Video, Rachel Venning with Babeland, and Kim Sedergran with International Video Distributor.

Trade registration costs $125 per person. For attendees that want to attend the Opening Night Party, a limited number of tickets are available for an additional $80. One-day fan passes cost $73 online, and three-day fan passes are available for $200. VIP fan tickets cost $100.
The 2008 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo will overlap with the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) on two days only, Wednesday, January 9 and Thursday, January 10. The AVN Adult Entertainment Expo is not affiliated with CES.
The 2008 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo sets the stage for the 25th annual AVN Awards Show, which will be held at the Mandalay Bay Events Center, on Saturday, January 12, 2008. The annual AVN Awards Show is the premier gala of adult video and recognizes titles, individuals, and companies for contributions to and excellence in the industry.
