Devinn Lane - Stiletto Stalking

Give me the basic plot of Stiletto.

Devinn Lane - Basically it is an art mirrors life kind of situation where I am an adult film actress who is not only being stalked in her private life she is being stalked in the movie she is working on. It is a movie within a movie which is often tricky to do.

Describe the character you play in this movie.

Devinn Lane - My character is like I said an adult film actress who is normally a take charge kind of person. Knows what she wants, doesn't have a hard time asking for it but finds herself in a situation where she is actually kind of terrified and feels like she has lost control a little bit, of her own life.

What sex scenes do you do in this movie?

Devinn Lane - I do two scenes with Nicole and Voodoo. One where I have sex with Voodoo and Nicole is watching through the glass because she is the stalker and she is masturbating. It is going to be difficult to figure out if it is a dream sequence or if it is real. Which adds to the mystery of the movie. It is kind of trippy. Then I have a three way with Nicole and Voodoo when they reveal that they are actors who have been hired to scare me in my private life to help me act better in my movie project. Then I have scene with the security guard who has been hired to protect me. That is Dale DaBone. It was supposed to be Julian but unfortunately he came down ill and we needed somebody else we knew who was going to be in shape and that was Dale.

What do you have scheduled for the rest of the year?

Devinn Lane - (Devinn starts laughing). I have Wicked Sex Party 6 later this month. I have two new series coming out that I can't talk about right now because the boss has to approve everything that I want to do. It is going to blow people's minds. They are not going to believe it.

Wicked's Press release refers to you as "classically beautiful". What does that mean to you?

Devinn Lane - Hahaha, I have been told that I have a classic face by a lot of photographers. I guess to me that means my look is kind of timeless. Kind of fits in anywhere I suppose. Girl next door look. It is very flattering.

Are you the girl next door?

Devinn Lane - Actually I am the girl next door. I was never ...I wasn't pretty when I was growing up. I was kind of gangly looking and awkward looking so yeah I was the girl next door. I was kind of the ugly duckling who blossomed into something. I remember my teenage years being kind of strange.

You have been referred to as the Jodie Foster of porn what do you think of that comparison?

Devinn Lane - That is quite a compliment. It means I am multifaceted in this industry. Jodie Foster has been very successful not only as an actress but as a director and a producer. She is really respected in mainstream entertainment so I take that as a really high compliment.

Do you think you will live up to it?

Devinn Lane - We will see. Everything takes a little time. Jodie Foster has had a lot more time to get to where she is but I can try to work up to that.

You once referred to yourself as the Sigourney Weaver character in “Working Girl”. This is a character who lied and cheated to get ahead and lost in the end. Is that you?

Devinn Lane - It is a good comparison. She is very driven and I think that was where the comparison was made. I don't think I have ever lied, cheated or stolen anything from anybody. Any time I said I was going to do something I did it unless there was a very good reason why I couldn't do it. Doing good business with people is very important. That is why I made the comparison because her character was very driven to succeed and so am I. Though I would never lie to do it.

What legal battles did you have to go through in order to trade mark your name?

Devinn Lane - I didn't have many legal troubles trade marking my name but I did trade marking Devinn Lane.com. I had to go through two years of legal battles because someone had cyber squatted on it. I tried to be fair. I tried to work out a deal with the people, made numerous phone calls to them and they kept saying they would work with me on it but they kept pushing it off and pushing it off so finally I just took it back. They had an on-line store and I was willing to link to them so they could still make money off of my name but they weren't willing to work with me so I finally said I am taking it back and I am not giving you a damn thing. 

You have made the statement “it is the aries in me”. Do you believe/read your horoscope?

Devinn Lane - It is pretty accurate. It really describes me to a "T".

You have talked about being led around the house on all fours dressed as a little schoolgirl. Are you interested in this type of role playing or were you just giving Brad a hard time?

Devinn Lane - I was probably just giving Brad a hard time. Hahahah! I was probably giving Brad some shit. That is where his thing is.

You have also talked about water sports and choking. How do you feel about these things on a personal level?

Devinn Lane - Oh I was definitely just fucking with him and teasing him. Brad Armstrong is a really good guy. I have known him for a few years now and if you know him you know what buttons to push and it is just funny because he still has the ability to blush. He is like a little school boy. And it makes for great commentary.

What is this about double fisting Apple Martini’s?

Devinn Lane - Oh God. I don't drink anything in a martini glass because one year I went out to Portland, Oregon with Playboy Strip search and at the after party someone gave me my first apple martini. It was so good and I remember at the end of the night I had one in each hand. I was so sick, I was so deathly ill. I was sharing a room with Keri Windsor and everyone came back to our room to continue the party. The room was spinning and I knew I was going to get sick so I told them I was going to get ice but I didn't take the bucket. Eventually the search party came out looking for me when they realized I had been gone for so long and hadn't taken the bucket to get ice. I was down in the lobby bathroom deathly ill. I also remember the plane ride back the next day was the worst I have ever had in my life. Lugging my luggage through the airport and having to stop at every other restroom because I was still sick. So I don't touch anything in a martini glass "EVER" again. Nothing that tastes that good can be good the next day. I have learned that lesson the hard way.
