Carmen Luvana - Test 1,2. I am fucking tired. I am fucking tired. :) (Carmen laughing). No I am kidding. We had a good day today. It went better than any of my previous three Adultcons.

This is actually your second contract in the business. So first off why get a contract at all?

Carmen Luvana - I don't want to burn myself out. I decided that if I decided to do adult then I wanted to stay in it for a while. I know if you are independent you are going to do a certain amount of movies and then you are going to burn yourself out. I wanted to extend it. With companies you have the privilege, they are going to promote you a lot and that is what I wanted. I wanted to be somebody. I wanted to build my name so I could go out there and feature. For what I wanted to accomplish it was just the best thing.

Why did you decide to go with Adam and Eve?

Carmen Luvana - With Adam & Eve I consider myself lucky. They have never had a contract girl, they are huge, they are great people and I knew they were going to give me the attention and promotion that I need. And things are going great. Adam & Eve just their name was a big deal for me and I knew it was going to be a great opportunity for me.

What movies have you done under contract?

Carmen Luvana - I have done Stripped, Rawhide and Adult Stars at Home #4 which is me in my house. My next couple of movies coming out are going to be in both English and Spanish. Which is really good.

Tell me about your toy line?

Carmen Luvana - My toy line is with Topco and I have out a pussy molding and love doll as well as a few jel-lee dildo's. I have three out right now but more toys are going to keep coming out. My deal with Topco is for 5 years so I am going to be with them for a while.

What was it like growing up in Puerto Rico and then New York?

Carmen Luvana - New York was great as was Puerto Rico but Puerto Rico was great.  But when it comes to adult they are not really open minded about doing movies or the adult business.But it is as crazy as any where else. I mean people really like to have real sex and watch porn but they really don't like to talk about it. So Puerto Rico is a little bit closed minded about the business. Now that I went to Puerto Rico I figured out that a lot of people really look up to me there so maybe I will open some doors there to the adult business.

Does your family know what you do?

Carmen Luvana - Yes they know. Actually I was just in Brooklyn on the Howard Stern show and I saw my father. He knows he just doesn't want anyone coming up to him and talking about it. But he is understanding. I explained to him how the testing works, how many movies I do and how I feel so much safer then I felt when I wasn't in the business.

What have you learned since being in the industry that you wish you had known from the start?

Carmen Luvana - Actually I would have to say that I was very lucky to meet someone like my manager. If I hadn't met him then I would have been fucked. I wouldn't have the deals that I have right now. I have been learning little by little about all the politics that are involved in adult but nothing really big. One thing that I did think was that people were going to look down on me or that they would be disrespectful at conventions but actually it is nothing like that. People are really respectful and look up to you. The conventions are really great.

In an early interview you said you prefer men and women equally on camera. Now that you have been in the business for a while has that changed?

Carmen Luvana - I like women more now that I have gotten into the business. I mean more that before I got into the business I did women just to try it out. But now I have really started to appreciate being with a girl. Preferably I like both. I love a guy. It is hard to find a girl in the business who is really into it. A lot of people do it for the money or what ever it is but I have now found that I like women more. Sometimes you are in the mood for a dick and sometimes you are in the mood for a soft touch and just a nice orgasm.

You are one of the few women in the industry to have done an "interactive" title. Was that harder or easier than a normal movie? Have you seen it?

Carmen Luvana - Interactive is really hard. I mean it is really hard to do because the positions the guy has to have to be able not see him and the positions you have to stay in for a couple of minutes and not stop because if you do you have to start all over again. It is a lot harder than a normal movie to film. I have seen it and it comes out really good from my point of view. I mean of course I do porn so it doesn't turn me on but I understand from men's point of view it is the best thing. You really feel like the girl is talking to you. I think interactive's are great.

I have seen a lot of comments about men wanting you to talk dirty to them in Spanish (even if they can't understand you). Do you find this an unusual request?

Carmen Luvana - Actually no because naturally when I'm in sex I talk in Spanish. It is something automatic. It comes out normally, I am not forcing myself. And it turns me on. I love it and mostly because I know it turns men on so much I try to do it more. That is why I just filmed and interactive with Adam & Eve where you can choose to see it in English or Spanish. So that is going to be great because I am talking dirty in Spanish all the time. I think it is great I love it.

Tell me something about yourself that would surprise people?

Carmen Luvana - I love to argue. I am Puerto Rican. :) I love to argue. I mean I like to have fun. I am the nicest person but I hate to be nice and give my all an people just ...I just have a really bad temper. I am the nicest person but you never want to get on my bad side. That is something people have never seen and I don't think they will see because my profession I just don't let people get to me that way.

Carmen Luvana - Nice, bad tempered, caring, sexual and pain in the ass.

Give me 5 words that describe your ideal mate?

Carmen Luvana - Funny, intelligent, not into themselves, I like a person who can mentally get to me and I am not into the physical thing. So it is all mental and he has to have a nice personality. And he has to make me laugh. I like a funny guy.

Have you found that guy?

Carmen Luvana - I mean I have seen a lot of guys who are willing to be with me. Because I have a lot of guys asking me about relationships. I have met a lot of people willing to be with me but I make it known that I don't want anything more than just a good time. Because I don't want anybody trying to tell me what to do. I am really trying not to have a relationship. I am just trying to have fun at the moment.

Give me three things you think you can't live without?

Carmen Luvana - Dick, sex and orgasms. (laughing)

Happiness is..?

Carmen Luvana - First of all Family. My family that backs me up and is there with me. That is my main thing. Being able to walk with your head high. It is being able to have friends that are there with you during the good and the bad. Happiness is just where I am right now. Honestly I am happy in my job and where I am at right now.

What do you like to do to relax?

Carmen Luvana: I really love music. I love to listen to music. I love to put on really warm water in my bathtub. I love to watch movies and I love to eat sushi.
