Just Kidding!

I hereby apologize to Wankus and Kaylani for the statements on the previous page (nothing happened people) but you have to admit that it is a great shot.

For those of you who have not been to an Internext there is probably a reason. It has for many years been considered the step-child of the other Adult Video News shows and has never really come into it's own as far as establishing a specific identity as to who and what you will find there. It was for this reason and others that I decided to hit Las Vegas a day earlier then usual this year to check out this little show and see what it had to offer.

My initial expectations: A gathering of some of the larger retail and content sites showing how they are better then their competitors and what they have to offer the consumer and the little guy looking for a partner. As well as new things coming down the line as far as services and features.

Reality: The majority of the booths there were all about affiliate programs and why theirs were better then everyone else's. Very few actual "sites" were represented with a few notable exceptions. Now for those of you going..."What the heck is an affiliate program?" Well I am glad you asked because I had to do a little bit of research on this myself. Will I go again /Should you go: Well that is not such an easy question to answer. Will I go again? Yes I will. Though as with this year I will probably only spend one day on the floor itself and the rest of the time I will spend in the seminar's they have set up. This years topics discussed things like 2257, COPA, Credit Card Processing, Digital Rights Management, Search Engine Optimization, Alternative Billing, Risk Assessment, Why adult companies get sued, Build an Adult Company the Smart Way and of course Affiliate Programs. For those of you who have never attended a conventions seminars they can offer a lot of very valuable information as long as you keep in mind that in some cases that information is slanted to support the conventions sponsors stance on an issue. It isn't always the case but is something to keep in mind.

Should you go? If you are just a fan looking for some pictures and a chance to meet some adult stars up close and personal then Internext is NOT for you. The ratio of actual porn stars to internet models/spokes models is rather small and the overall size of the show is a factor as well. When you couple that with the $200 price tag to get in then Internext is not really a "fan" show and they have intentionally set it up that way. This show has from the beginning been about learning and doing adult business. But if you own an adult site, are thinking about setting one up and will be in the area then I would definitely consider attending one of the Internext Shows.

As far as size goes it is noticeably smaller then ever Erotica LA and bigger then Adultcon so you can kind of picture something in that area.

The first booth I made a line for upon entering was the Adam & Eve booth which was located in the corner right next to the entrance. Adam & Eve was there to talk about their new affiliate program but unlike other booths they remembered who they were trying to talk to and brought along Carmen Luvana, Terri Summers, Vicky Vette and Sunny Leone to get you attention. Now for those of you who stay away from Adam & Eve movies because they are too "couples" friendly well you don't know what you are missing. Carmen is an absolute angel and one of the sexiest women I know. Terri who actually was "nicer to me this time" since she knew I was from Adult DVD Talk is also a sweetheart and hands down one of the most photogenic women I have ever met. She is one of those women you can just spend hours doing head shots of and still have every picture be different and gorgeous. I did get a chance to sit down and do brief interviews with both these women during the show.

Unfortunately the other two women at the booth I didn't get to spend much time with. Which is a shame because Vicky is definitely a crowd pleaser and Sunny is just gorgeous. Though one of these days I am going to have to find out why Sunny is always at the Adam & Eve booth.

Definitely my big surprise of the show was the appearance of Jenna Jameson. I knew she was scheduled to be there but I was not prepared for her new hair color and style. I actually was forced to recognize her from the tattoo on the back of her neck when I initially saw her from behind.

Jenna was signing at the Video Secrets booth. Which is the parent company of Flirt4Free.com and is the leader in live adult video chat and leased content products. This is one of the few companies there that was more about promoting their sites and what they have to offer. And I must say they did it in a BIG way. While their booth was not the largest on the floor by any means I think they taught some of the newer companies at the show that floor space does not exactly mean attention or foot traffic at the show. While other companies spent money on large elaborate booths Video Secrets put their money into more important things. Like having the likes of Jenna, Krystal Steel, Ashton Moore, Tera Patrick, Ron Jeremy, Gina Lynn and the guys from Falcon Studios signing at their booths which pretty much guaranteed they be the center of attention.

Another one of my favorite booths at the show I don't think liked me very much and that was SexSearch.com. Sex Search is the fastest growing adult personals site with over 2.5 million members and yes they offer an affiliate program. The reason they didn't like me was probably due to the fact that they had Kaylani Lei, Lilly Thai and Charmane Star there and I tended to monopolize the girls time when I was there. And can you blame me? While I don't have an "Asian fetish" as a lot of guys seem to have these days even I will agree that all of these women are gorgeous and can drive any red blooded male totally nuts. But I wasn't thinking straight during this time and failed to get a shot of all three women together.

The next booth that caught my attention did so in a most unique manner. Now they had Lauren Phoenix signing for them so that alone would have attracted me but it was her t-shirt that really got my attention and even had me doing something I do not ever do which is conducting an interview standing in line on the convention floor. So what was so special about her shirt that got my attention you are asking? It was two simple lines..."Wanna bang me? Ask me how."

With that you can bet I was standing next to her in a heart beat with my recorder out going:

Now I am looking at your t-shirt and it says "Wanna bang me? Ask me how."

Lauren: It does. The way you can bang me is to enter my web site (bangapornstar.com) as a member in which I am giving away airfare for two, 3 nights stay and $1000 spending money to Los Angeles. But most importantly you get to be in a porn star sandwich with me and another porn star and you get to be the meat in our sand which. And that will be something I am doing twice a year for some VERY lucky members.

Will this be filmed or is it just a private thing?

Lauren: It will be filmed for legal purposes but it is up to the contestant if they want that footage released or not. And if the contestant can not perform in the scene because of their wife of some other reason then they are fully welcome to come party with me and the other girl in which they can direct a girl-girl scene in which they can totally and fully direct that scene and have two girls do such wonderful and nasty things to each other as any man desires.

What if a woman wins?

Lauren: The same thing applies. If a woman wins she can also come be the meat in the sand which. Pussy as well as dick are equally welcome to me. I love pussy as much as I love cock.

For those of you who have never met Lauren then I suggest you go out of your way to do so. She is one of those people who is just great to meet in person as she is just exudes sex appeal but at the same time has a way of making everyone around her feel very comfortable with her. If I had to compare her to other porn stars out there I would put her physical presence up there with the likes of Belladonna and Tiffany Mynx. Not bad company to be in at all.

The next booth to grab my attention was one called XBC or Xbangcash.com. This is a new paysite sponsor program that provides all original movie content shot on location. But it wasn't their ad campaign that got my attention it was one VERY lovely young lady whom I did not immediately recognize (I am getting old) who goes by Sarah Blake (Sarahblake.com). Sarah is a quite girl whom a lot of people probably don't focus on at these things because she tends to not do things to draw attention to herself like other girls do and you won't find her in any gonzo movies that I am aware of but all you really have to do is look at her. While I know women hate this label there is one that fits Sarah to a "T". She is cute.

Along the corner of the convention was the booth for AMA Content / TNT Babes.  This is a company that I was pretty much totally unaware of until this show. As I think back I had run into them at Erotica LA but I thought they were just another amateur porn company. I did not realize that they were also a modeling agency. A fact which is important to an aspiring photographer. They were making a splash with the likes of Haley Paige, Annie Cruz, Daphne Rosen, Holly Day and Kayla Marie.

I would be remiss if I did not mention the fact that there were several gay companies represented at the show. Now as usual I didn't do much with them but this year I did go out of my way to at least shoot a few pictures to give the ladies and the gay community something to look at. Of these booths my favorite would have to be the one called StraightCollegeMen.com. If you looked at their press material you would realize there is nothing "straight" about these boys but even I have to admit that it is a very catchy title. Okay so a lot of the time I got women like Vicky and Kaylani to jump in the middle of the guys but hey I am trying at least.

My walk through the floor then brought me along side a lovely woman going by the name Masuimi Max. Masuimi is a fetish girl who was signing for Red Room Media which provides modern content for adult webmasters. You can also find her at her own web site called I am trouble.com. Which if looks are any indication this woman is most definitely trouble with a capital "T".

Next up was a couple of my favorite women to photograph though they are also two of my most challenging subjects. Which are Brittney Skye and Alexis Amore. Challenging in that I can't ever seem to get a photo of them that I think is a true example of their beauty.

Alexis was there for XonDemand and Brittney was there for Mallcom.com. XonDemand is exactly what you think it is and through it's affiliate program provides access to thousands of hosted galleries as well as streaming movies. Mallcom.com I am a little less clear on. Their press release says they "allow webmasters to earn thousands of dollars in retail profit using product sales without adding any additional costs to your business". Which I am pretty sure means they host others sites "stores" so they don't have to go to the hassle of setting one up themselves. Believe me when I say that is an area that a lot of new webmasters need help with.

Well at this point I am pretty much wasted and I still have to go catch a showing of John Stagliano's Vegas stage show of "Fashionista's" later on this evening. So I start to head for the door but not before we are given the mandatory "Here's Your Sign" episode of the convention. This time around our little episode came to us courtesy of the lovely Carmen Luvana and one of the event security guards. Carmen had forgotten to take her badge with her when she went to the bathroom and was prevented from coming back into the show by one of the security guards. "What is wrong with that?" you might ask. Well remember I told you the Adam & Eve booth was right next to the entrance. So here was our security guard trying to tell Carmen he was "just doing his job" in preventing her from coming back in since she doesn't have a badge as she is standing next to a nude picture of herself that is about 20' wide by 6' tall. Like I said...."Here's Your Sign"
