Do you really need glasses or are they just a prop?

Devinn Lane - I do need prescription glasses because I can’t wear contacts. My eyesight is not that bad that I have to wear them. The only time I really have to wear them is at night.

Do you find guys like that?

Devinn Lane - Yeah they do. I don’t know why. I didn’t even realize it. You know the first one to notice it was Brad Armstrong.

Do you really find cars sexual?

Devinn Lane - I just found that out about myself. I have a car fetish. I like old cars and hotrods. I will have to go to a car show. I haven’t been to one in a number of years.

You are very vocal in your movies. Is that reality or just something you do for the show?

Devinn Lane - The only time I act is when I have to act. The sex for me is the easy part so whatever I do when I have sex is they way I am.

How does it feel to be one of only 2 Contract Stars to only do girl/girl scenes?

Devinn Lane - It feels challenging and very difficult because at first people (other talent) give you a lot of attitude because they maybe don’t realize that a person can have a lot to offer other than a good sex scene. Or the ability to have sex with men on film. There is nothing wrong with that if I ever decide to do it then I decide to do it. But I am kind of honored that I am one of two. I am really honored that Steve Orenstein hired me and saw something in me that no one else saw. And that was the ability to represent to company.

How much mail do you get about that boy/girl scene?

Devinn Lane - Not very often any more.

Is it for or against?

Devinn Lane - About 50/50 right down the middle. And I will tell you why since I didn’t understand why until one of my fans explained it to me. A lot of my fans are very loyal and they are really dedicated to me. I have had guys who I danced for when I was an 18 year old house girl that have followed my career ever since. They get really jealous and I have had people say I don’t ever want to watch you with a guy because I would get jealous it would ruin it for me. It would ruin the fantasy. The bottom line is the pressure to do boy/girl scenes comes from within the industry not from outside or from the fans. There is not any kind of person I can think of that is going to get tired of watching girl/girl. There is always going to be a market for it.

If you ever decided to do a boy/girl scene would you want it to be a media event or would you want it to be a surprise?

Devinn Lane - I would want it to be a large media event and I would definitely not want it to be a boy/girl I would want it to be a three-way. And I would want it to be a couple. A real couple even off screen.

So you have actually thought about this.

In a lot of your movies you use strap-on’s do you actually like them?

Devinn Lane - It is a lot of work you are like whoa this is what the man’s world is like. Oh my god. Yeah I do but not everybody can use one. I won’t let a new girl use one on me. I just asked Felecia to do a scene with me. I would let Felecia use one on me. Felecia has more experience than I do.

I keep hearing you are going to college?

Devinn Lane - Yeah I did go. I finished my semester but then my workload here got to big.

Did you finish your degree?

Devinn Lane - No, if I go back I might actually just take one course for film. It was just something that I needed at that time in my life. My mother had just passed away and I needed something to keep my mind busy because I had too much free time and I started kind of picking my own grade. It was kind of like therapy.

You didn’t have a goal in mind when you went back?

Devinn Lane - If I went back I would get a degree in psychology.

Why is it you think so many girls in the industry say they would get a degree in psychology?

Devinn Lane - Because they think a lot. We are thinkers. I don’t know how many would be able to pull it off.

What do you like the most about meeting the fans and dislike the most about meeting the fans?

Devinn Lane - I like it when I have been e-mailing somebody and I finally get to put a face to him or her. I like that it is very exciting. What I hate is when people don’t take their own hygiene into consideration when they meet people. The worse is when a guy sweats profusely and I understand some guy’s sweat but when they come up and put their arm around you and your shoulder smells like B.O. for the rest of the day. It doesn’t happen that often though.

I read that you weren’t featuring any more at all?

Devinn Lane - I am. I am taking one local and one out of town booking per year for the next three years.

Why did you do that?

Devinn Lane - I made a commitment to this company. They really needed someone who would be willing to be on call for when ever things came up at the last minute. I wanted to be that person.

Devinn Lane - You know a lot of people have asked. Playboy is talking about it but I don’t have an answer.

What is this about you being single with no boyfriend?

Devinn Lane - That is true. I have a dog and I just bought a house. I don’t have the time. I date and I go out but I just don’t have the time right now. I have really good girlfriends, not girlfriends as in sexually just friends that I like hanging out with.

Is it you don’t have time or it is a hassle finding people that understand?

Devinn Lane - Finding people that understand is not really a problem with me because of the whole girl/girl thing. Most people don’t have a problem with that.

Most guys are like YEAH!

Devinn Lane - Well you would be surprised some of them get a little jealous or insecure or whatever. But I don’t deal with big problems like most girls. I want to have that option in my personal life. If I ever did meet somebody that I really really liked I wouldn’t want them to have an issue with my work. I am happy with where my career is at so why do I need to push it further and sacrifice having some kind of healthy personal life. I am very balanced. There has to be a balance. I think that is why a lot of girls come in and get really burnt out because they don’t realize they need that balance.
